About Ace's Chickens
Here at Ace's chickens, our happy feathered friends are free range! What does that mean? It means we cannot guarantee the purity of a specific breed. We have 5 purebred roosters that watch over our girls (2 Ayam Cemani's, 1 Ameraucana, 1 Red Cochin Bantam, 1 Ayam Cemani x Dominque cross). A testament to the kindness of the chickens bred here is that 5 roosters can co-exist happily!
The chicks we sell will either be purebred (if one of the roosters mates to a hen of it's same breed) OR it will be a cross of two breeds. Hen breeds include, Dominique Bantam, Buff Orpington, Red Cochin Bantam, Frizzle, Cream Legbar, Ameraucana, Partridge Cochin and Brahma.
We often think the mixed breeds are the most fun because they are 100% unique to our farm and you typically see traits of both hen and rooster breeds combined! order chickens online chicken hatchery buying hens
The most asked questions:
"Do you have female chicks available?"
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the sex of your chick. We are not a professional facility with those skills/capabilities. That being said, we may have some "teenagers" available to purchase so don't hesitate to ask! At this stage in development (3-5 months old), we can tell if it will be a hen or rooster :)
"How much does it cost?"
Unsexed Chicks start at $5
Teenage Hen or Rooster: $8
Because our chicks are highly socialized with humans, horses, pigs and barn cats, we charge a bit more than your big box store. We also pride ourselves in taking the absolute best care of our flock!
